Welcome
The Interstate Bowling All Star program brings the best bowlers from the States
of Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina together three times a year to play
for bragging rights as a team and to win scholarship money as individuals.
Competition began in 1995 between the Carolinas with Georgia joining the action
in 1996.
Starting in 2009, teams are
composed of four divisions designated by gender and age (as of August 1st):
-
Ages 15 and under
(11 members/team
each)
-
Ages 16-20
(11 members/team each)
USBC sanctioned tournaments begin on Saturday afternoon
and are composed of two 3-game sets with each team's lowest score per game being
discarded.
The teams then meet on Sunday morning to bowl 12 games
Baker style. The Baker style
scores are added to Saturday's scores to determine the tournament champions by division
and state.
Individual awards based on Saturday's scores are presented within each
division for high game and high series.
After the third tournament, scholarship awards are presented to the top bowler
of each division across all three tournaments based on total pins (Bowler of the
Year).
